Tharushi Abeyaratne is an emerging spatial designer from Sri Lanka. She utilises the element of surprise to disrupt overlooked everyday patterns to draw attention to them. Her work includes the alteration of both everyday objects and spaces. Through her designs, she hopes to encourage users to question pre-existing norms in society and how it affects its inhabitants. She enjoys using film as a form of documentation as it offers a more immersive experience to the viewers.
