Accommodation: As an aftereffect of the pandemic, the separation of places for rest and work became a major theme in architectural design. This can be seen in the drastic contrast between the design of the Accommodation Centre to the remainder of the institution.

Data centre: The outcomes of hypothetical scenarios can be observed through spatial projections. This tool will be used to help showcase to the public the effects urbanisation has on the environment.

Laboratory: The institution is made of three main areas, the laboratory, the Data Centre and the Accommodation Centre. The laboratory area winds around in a deformed loop and connects at the Data Centre. These two are the main learning areas and are designed to have a professional and clean feel to them

harmony

The project ‘Harmony’ is set in Wilpattu, Sri Lanka 25 years from now. Rapid urbanisation has put a strain on the tensions already existing between humans and other living beings. Harmony is a wildlife conservation learning institution that aims to achieve harmonious living conditions by resolving the ongoing human and animal conflict. The Learning Centre is designed in a way that confines humans while animals have the freedom to roam free around the area. The building was designed in sympathy to its surroundings, bending to avoid trees and conserving areas occupied by other living beings.
